Not able to get involved in the art forms in the developing country (São Tomé) throughout her teens, she embarked on a journey to pursue acting in England and is now on her final year at East 15 Acting School. One of her dreams is to found an acting school for children in São tomé to give kids opportunities to explore their artistic side. Xanthe Mitten is an energetic and passionate Designer based in Yorkshire. Xanthe will be graduating this year with an MA in Performance Design from the University of Leeds. During her time at Leeds, Xanthe has contributed both her artistic vision and her managerial skills to large array of performances and events around the country. These include fringe festivals, charity fashion shows, TEDx events, student society musicals and plays, dance showcases, competitions, large-scale productions and installation pieces. I've trained there for 3 years, and now am searching for work. My background pre-training was in Musical Theatre, I'm a geek for classic musicals and all things old Hollywood vintage. As well as acting and singing I write a lot of my own material based around my own experiences as a very political feminist and LGBTQ+ woman in 2020.
